Roberto Galván

Founder and CEO of Argal

Roberto is a leader in the field of administration and finance in the health sector in Mexico. From a young age, his training at UNAM, complemented by a Master's in Systems from UVM, prepared him to assume leadership roles in key organizations. His career reached an important milestone when, as Deputy Director of Planning at the National Cancer Institute, he led the implementation of innovative technologies such as Computerized Axial Tomography (CAT). In addition, he collaborated closely in the creation of the Pain Clinic, working alongside highly specialized doctors.
His vocation for teaching took him to the classrooms of UNAM and UVM, where he trained future generations in the management of finances and administration. Throughout his career in large corporations, Roberto stood out for his ability to manage investments and financial resources strategically and efficiently.
In 2008, Roberto took an innovative turn by founding Argal, a company specialized in auditing hospital events and managing medical services. Under his leadership, Argal has grown exponentially, with over 100 employees and a strong presence throughout Mexico. His focus on optimizing healthcare, controlling costs and generating strategic information has transformed Argal into a benchmark for banks and insurers.
Roberto’s vision and leadership are the driving force behind Argal’s continued success, consolidating its impact on improving healthcare services in Mexico.

Ivonne Galván

Deputy Director General of Expansion and Development

Ivonne was born in Mexico City with an innate passion for design and a clear vision: to create unique spaces that combined luxury, quality and artisanal detail. Her path began at the Istituto Europeo di Design, where she specialized in furniture design, and continued at Central Saint Martins in London, where she honed her innovative approach with a master’s degree in Design Studies.
In 1999, with an unstoppable entrepreneurial spirit, she opened her own interior design studio. With each project, Ivonne demonstrated exceptional mastery in the luxury market, creating spaces that balanced aesthetics and functionality, with meticulous attention to detail. Her approach soon led her to be recognized as one of the leaders in interior design in Spain.
One of her greatest challenges came in 2007, when she restructured the Spanish market for the historic Giorgetti brand, doubling its sales in just three years. But Ivonne did not stop there. She took Baltus Collection to the markets of Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg, consolidating its international presence.
Her drive led her to found a second company dedicated to the import and distribution of the CAMERICH brand in Spain and to create MOVINS, a firm that supports architects and designers in the professional installation of furniture and finishing materials.
In 2022, Ivonne joined Argal, attracted by a one-off project. However, her passion for social welfare and collaborative leadership quickly positioned her in a strategic role. In 2023, she was appointed Deputy General Manager of Expansion and Development, becoming a key player for the future of the company.

Jorge Arturo Maldonado

Deputy Director General of Planning and Business

Jorge Arturo has always been a visionary with an unwavering focus on growth and excellence. A graduate in Business Administration from Universidad Latina, his thirst for knowledge led him to complete diplomas in Management and Business Skills at Universidad Anáhuac, as well as a course in Entrepreneurship from BEDU Mexico. His journey at Argal began over 14 years ago, and throughout his career, he has navigated various roles, always standing out for his deep understanding of the business.
In 2020, he took on the Commercial Management role, a crucial step that ushered in a new era of transformation for the company. His ability to plan strategically and his vision for the future earned him a promotion to Deputy General Manager of Planning and Business. Here, he has proven time and again his ability to deliver outstanding results and lead with a constant drive for improvement.
With a relentless focus on delivering results and a sharp strategic vision, Jorge Arturo has not only contributed to Argal’s growth but has also cemented his role as an exemplary leader committed to excellence and the company’s continued success.

Erick Barba

Director of Strategic Planning

Erick is a born leader whose natural magnetism and innovative style inspire those around him. With a degree in Medicine and Surgery from La Salle University and a series of diplomas in Comprehensive Quality Management and Executive Model Management, Erick has been a beacon of excellence in the medical sector for more than 35 years.
His career began strongly at Dimensión Salud, where, in 1998, he took the reins of the Executive Management, demonstrating from the beginning his ability to transform organizations. His journey continued at AXA Assistance Mexico, where in 2011 he took over the Medical Management, before joining Grupo Nacional Provincial (GNP) as Deputy Director of Major Medical Expense Claims.
In 2017, Erick was called by the CEO of Argal to lead the Medical Deputy General Management. Here, his role has been key in the development and growth of the company, thanks to his strategic vision and his unwavering commitment.
Furthermore, as a Founding Member of the National College of Medical Auditing and a speaker at various medical conferences, Erick has not only demonstrated his leadership skills, but also his dedication to the continuous improvement of the sector. His career is a testament to his ability to lead, innovate and make a significant difference at every stage of his career.

Sergio Carranza

Medical Director for Health Services Administration

Since his beginnings as a Medical Surgeon at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), Sergio has forged an outstanding career in the field of medicine and health administration. His passion for knowledge led him to participate in prestigious conferences such as the XI and XIII Vitamédica National Medical Congress, and in the National Program for Academic Development and Updating for General Practitioners. His registration with the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS) in occupational health underlines his commitment to well-being and safety in the work environment.
His career took off in 1990 at Banca Serfin (now Banco Santander) as Medical Coordinator, marking the beginning of his extensive experience in health administration. In Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, he stood out as Head of Medical Services at the Resistol Plant and then at Banco Internacional. In the late 1990s, he joined Dimensión Salud as Hospital Supervisor and, later, Medical Coordinator. In 2011, Sergio made a great leap forward by joining Argal as the Manager of Hospital Medical Management at a national level. His private practice since 1982 reinforces his expertise, keeping him up to date on medical advances and surgical procedures, essential for his role in hospital claims management.
An active member of the College of General Surgeons A.C., he remains an influential leader in occupational health and medical management, always seeking to innovate and exceed expectations in his field.

Karen Cruz

Administration and Finance Manager

Karen, a graduate in Administration from the Interamerican University for Development, is the backbone of financial management at Argal. Since joining the company in 2013 as an Administrative Assistant, her commitment and impeccable performance quickly led her to lead the Administration and Finance area. Karen is distinguished by her meticulous management of corporate finances, optimizing resources and platforms to ensure Argal's financial growth. Her focus on responsibility, honesty and transparency, along with her ability to manage large volumes of funds, consolidate her as a reliable leader who drives the company's financial success.
